Oh, I agree completely, hence my comment about exaggerated numbers. I was just using the numbers that they provided. Typical sham marketing.
People look at the flashy numbers and free stuff, but ignore the details. That's why Cali has gone to shit, and the rest of the country is chasing it.
You'll save $79 (over 3 months) in the first phase. You'll save $159 (over 7 months) in the second phase. All the people see is save 79 and 153. They don't do the math.
79/4=~20/mo
153/7=~22/mo
They don't pay attention to the fast that the available tire selection get smaller and more expensive each time. They actively ignore the fact that the cheapest available set of tires increases ~800-1000.
Like the average "diet" food option. "Half as much fat* (* per serving) as the leading competitor and 10 % cheaper." Read the nutrition labels and their serving size is half the size of the leading competitor with the same number of servings per package. You know people are going to eat the same serving size regardless of the label. Instead of getting a healthier option at the same price, they are getting the same product at near double the price, and they are proud of it.
These are the people that we let vote for who runs the country.
Sorry stupid stuff like this bets me riled up more than I should let it.
