Bronkzilla - '79 Bronco

fixed the auto shifter today so now she goes in park. i got down under and adjusted the linkages on the trans a bit so now she shifts through the gears like new. got some bed liner yesterday so tomorrow im gonna take out the seat and fix the floor pans an the bedline it, i also got some gray paint to do my rims and the removable part of the roof so i think that would look cool. also got a body lift to go on her and got some rad arm bushings picked out that im gonna order since mine literally are gone. was supposed to go in tonight to the previous owners place an get a spare D44 and 9" that i would weld up.. that would make her real good then :) and he got a main leaf to which i need since mine is snapped off. an probably sometime this weekend i will get around to installing the welded axles and im gonna paint em first too. hopefully ill be rolling in her again by next weekend.

I know how you feel about not having a job. It sucks. I almost lost mine a few days ago, and it scared the hell out of me. If I lose my job I lose my car, and I might not be able to continue going to college. My girlfriend lost hers back in April I think, and she still hasn't been able to get a new one. She's applied to tons of different hospitals, nursing homes, restaurants, even walmart. Luckily she scored a free CNA course at boces since she's been in trouble with the law before, so once she's done with that maybe some windows will open.

as soon as i can find an engine hoist the motor is coming out of the bronco, to make things easier for changing the rear main seal and complete gasket kit im getting from a friend, and to clean it and paint it a bit. if i get a job by then ill add some headers and some other goodies too.

shes now under some construction again. i jacked her up the other day and placed a 2" spacer under the coil, and when i let her down, she was perfectly even with the other side cause she was tilted before.. oh well i guess ill leave her like it. but i do think i know what it is.. the floor pan on the drivers side is pretty rotted espically where the body mount is and the rocker panel is down lower so the floor pan isnt level. if that makes sense. guess its time for a new one.

got the front light bar and bumper took off, all the carpet took out and got a little bit of the floor done in pan liner.. still some insulation stuck on in some places. I got the bumper off because i found a real beefy one out behind the garage i think came off a dumptruck, its awesome but too wide so i think im gonna mod that one to fit. also today im gonna start making up an engine hoist, because im gonna take the engine out to do the rear main seal, all gaskets, an oil pump if funds allow, and some cleaning and paint. gonna get some pics of her today as she sits now

edit: just found this and this is what im going with: http://www.summitracing.com/parts/MEL-M84AHV/

I'd say just build a winch, cheaper. Buy a nice strong electric motor, and a rough chain or metal cable about 10 to 15 yards long, and buy a hook and mount + spindle.

cool, glad to see ya gettin bak to work. have you gotten the pics of the shifter boots yet boggin? im gettin the money monday
