Hey Boggin', I'm going to give you a little piece of advice for you to hold with you until the later stages of the project... paint her red again! I think it would look badass plus make a lot more sense with the engine bay and interior being red. As for the sides, I would do the bracing on the outside and maybe dress it up with a little diamond plate (I know it's offroad rice) if you don't want to do bondo work on the bottom if it is really nasty. Make sure you prep and dress the underside of the braces well, tremclad is your friend. For the inside look for the bed of an old F-series pickup and get the good bits, and for the heck of it see if you can find and modify a drop-in bedliner for it. It would cover up anything unsightly and add that durability for when you have the roof off. If you plan on having it off often in wet areas do a Rhino liner or eqivalent
