I have a1994 Ranger XLT 2.3L 4x2 with twin I-beam suspension. Will the Belltech 6400 lift kit fit on my truck.

Thank you,

K.

Belltech 6400 isn't a "lift kit". It is a pair of leaf spring shackles that, when installed on a Ranger, give about 1.5" of lift in the rear IIRC.

To answer the question... Yes, they will fit on your Ranger. They will fit on any 1983-2011 Ranger. They might even fit on the newer one's, but I don't know what their spring arrange ment looks like.

This helps a lot. I thank you for your time. Josh T.

Yeah, the Belltech 6400 (and similar others) are sold as 2” drop shackles for an older Chevy or Ford 1/2 ton truck. Because those trucks have the shackle going up towards the bed instead of down away from it like Rangers in the 83-11 vintage. Since the width of everything else is the same, they work as a lift shackle for us. 1.5-2” of lift. But that only does the rear.

For the front you need something for the coil springs to space it up (F-150 spring perches used to be the answer but I don’t know if they’re available aftermarket and I’m pretty sure Ford considers them obsolete at this point). A stack of big washers works too, among other things. Longer or heavier coils do the same. Years ago 4-door Explorer springs (front coils and rear leafs from a 91-94) would lift a Ranger roughly 1.5”, but any of those in junkyards now probably need new springs anyway so you would have to go new aftermarket.

I really appreciate your time and your response. A sincere Thank you.
