My credo
None at all.
'01 Ranger with 2.5 and auto. My truck left me stranded. After working on it, I found the battery cables are bad. Does the positive cable make any stops between the battery and the starter? I want to replace it but I don't want to tare apart the wiring harness to do it. I thought I would cut back the old cable and run the new one in parallel. I know there is a smaller wire that runs from the battery clamp to the power distribution block. I'll replace that one as well.

I show 2 positive cables, one to starter motor and one to fuse box

No in between connections

Thanks. That was what I was thinking. I plan to replace both as I have been having some electrical issues lately, along with the ground cable.
