This happend just about 4 weeks ago. I forgot I had the picture in my digital camera still. My wife and I looked at for about 30 min after I downloaded it onto our computer. Sad....
How about this 3500 series truck? Look what this oak tree did to it!!! Sad the passenger died. She was not wearing a seat belt and according to some of the witnesses she was hanging out the window having a good time before the crash. The impact was on the passenger side as you can see in the photo. The driver was able to walk away. He got thrown on the ground. Both of them were on something but the test results have not come back yet.
The driver was speeding near our place at around 10:45-11:00 pm and went around a corner on a narrow two lane road at about 70 mph and spun into the tree. The speed limit there is 30 mph. We heard the sirens and knew something had happened really close to our house. A cop friend of ours who lives by us came over to tell us what happend and we all went up to see it. We got there as the wrecker driver was pulling up. My cop friend got out his spot light and I took this photo and I felt a little sad at the time. I am glad I did not see it happen. We found out later that week the girl lived around the corner from us. We put flowers around the tree and hung a wreath for her on the tree branches. We had met her family before. They moved away and then came back three years later.
