Sorry, no photos yet. LOL
Dateline Saturday afternoon, Clay, NY.
Went to pull out of the mall parking lot. Wasn't going to fast, just the same speed anyone would use on snow covered access roads..... So the road splits and has one of those grassy curb "V" dividers. Ok, no grass....It's all covered in about 4 feet of snow pack.
So I start to bear to the right to get back on the main drag at the light. And the mall did a lousy job of salting and sanding. Sheer Ice!.... Slowly the trucks inertia just gently plows it into the snowbank. I tried to swerve it back to the center lane (it's on an incline) so I can go straight through...No Dice...No Steering control at all.
Gently right into the snowbank with a huge "Poof" sound, about 4feet in. I'm glad it wasn't hard ice pack, but fluffy somewhat wet snow. The car behind me? Hit the same spot...went sidewise...and put the nose of his car into the snowbank on the right side of the road. No damage at all to either my BII or the gent's car. More just one of those moments.....
I drove there today for work...and the snow impression is still there. Along with a 100% clean to the pavement job on the road in that area.
Just wanted to share that one. No matter how much time you have driving on this crap? ICE doesn't care.... It will make you respect it...or else.
