I just picked up a 1996 B4000 4x4 and the 4WD doesnt engage. Through searching I found that the light comes on so its not the transfer case. I'm looking to just switch to manual hubs to get the 4WD to work again. The front bearings are shot on the truck so I'm going to be digging in and putting new bearings, rotors, pads, and seal on this weekend. I was gonna try to order manual hubs and just do that while I'm in there. After searching all I can find was info for Rangers and it said that they were 35 spline in 96 on the front axle. Is this the same for B4000's? I was gonna just order these since I'm not a major off-roader. I mainly use it to haul motorcycles and for going through snow when I visit up north so I won't be straining the 4wd system.

Is this the correct parts I would need to fully convert the hubs? When I looked up the Mile Marker 428 is says they are 27 spline so this has me confused on if they are going to work. Any help would be appreciated as I'd like to just do everything in one sitting so I'd like to get these ordered.

Well after doing more searching I'm not going to go with the Mile Markers as I'm reading they are junk. Now I have to find out what the correct one to get for my truck is. Any other ones out there and what parts do I need to make the conversion.

Thanks for the response. Ordered a set. Hopefully it will be here by the weekend and I can do everything at once. Dont even want to drive it right now with the bearings. They are crazy loud right now. Hopefully I'll have 4wd and no bearing hum by Sat.

im sorry im late on this but the best way you can possibly go with after market hubs is WARN see on their website they have a sizing chart that includes Mazda b series. all you need extra from the WARN hubs is a spindel nut kit "its pretty cheep" and they tell you the exact one you need.
