anyone have cool vehicle ideas that would be awesome to see?

Are you kidding? Did you even read the comments on the video you posted as proof?

Half the comments are from dumbasses. So remember when a few hundred years ago and they said the world was flat and that was that? Just because they say it doesn't exist doesn't make it true. I would like to see how long this wheel would spin. I've never seen a magnet stop working, have you? Plus, I don't get why you are being so serious about this.

Friction most certainly exists and is measurable. Magnets decay, and that is measurable as well. All of this is easily verifiable information. The wheel would spin for quite a while because it's a very low friction system, but it still exists. That no power is being extracted from it allows the limited decay of magnets to keep it moving for quite a while, but not forever. In effect, they're serving as small motors with an integrated battery to power the system. There's nothing 'free' or 'perpetual' about it.

I'm taking it seriously because reality seems like a reasonable thing to pay attention to.

Ok, how about this equally stupid idea...

What if you were to make a driveshaft similar to a torsion bar, so when torque is applied it twists it up untill it more less reachs the end of its "spring" and then releases giving you added accleration?

The heavier the load on the vehicle, the more (faster) it would twist?

If it isn't being "powered" by an airgun offscreen.

We already have things powered by magnets. Huge ones. Like bullet trains and railguns. They take a lot of electrical power to work and do controllable useful things with them, nothing perpetual about them.

You had to give up acceleration at the beginning of the run twisting the spring to gain acceleration at the end.

You might end with something related to axle wrap where it loads up and dumps rapidly instead of waiting until the end too.

For an awesome idea I put forth an OEM lift gate that looks like a normal tailgate.

Sorry, that makes no sense to me. Care to elaborate? Maybe pics?

One of those things, that just looks like a normal tail gate.

I agree that would be a cool idea.

Ok Sheldon, lets just agree to disagree. I understand perpetual motion and believe in a TEMPORARY perpetual motion. A video on youtube claims the wheel they made was spinning for a month before he physically stopped it. I'd say anything that can spin for a month with no help is perpetual. I understand that magnets wear (after a LONG time), bearings go bad (after a long time) and parts wear (after a long time as well). Everything breaks down with movement and time so that's a given. So I will stick with the temporary perpetual motion. There are a lot of good examples like Aldo Costa's wheel and the gravity powered generators and Gravia lamps. Check those out.

:shok:

You understand perpetual motion, but don't understand that the words 'perpetual' and 'temporary' are antonyms?

Something tried in the past but poorly excuted. Car based trucks.

30mpg 5 seaters with a bed large enough to hual a standard atv.
Option cap with 3rd row in the bed.

Subaru brat, dodge rampage, vw caddy, baja, sized. Kind of a shrunken 4cyl ridgeline if you will.

I have had a baja, beds useless.
Ive had vw, brat, and rampage too.
Lovee then but 2 seaters dont work.

Rampage got 35mpg and hualed my quad. Just not my kids.

Also on a small scale electric spare tire cables. Why can my truck make phone calls but i have to manually lower my spare

The electric spare winch is a cool idea but...

What if after 20 years of non use you finally have a flat after a 12 hr shift, hit the button, and the motor dont work....

Simple mechanical objects are the most reliable, espicially the little bit a spare gets dropped.

Personally, i throw mine in the bed
