Is that the factory antenna wire? Looks very odd for a ford.

Anywhoozle, try crutchfield.com. they have everything like that and you can look up the parts by vehicle.

Did you try LMC truck? Might be a "junk yard only" part. Or you may have to use a universal antenna by Dorman or somebody like that.

The antenna mast is definitely not factory but the base look original but I'm not 100% sure

LMC truck have antenna but they don't have photo so I can't tell if it's like mine

I guess my only choice is to go buy a full antenna kit...

How do you feel about basements?

I don't know what was that but it felt like a insult or a way to make fun of me.
No... He’s just a little strange. Don’t let it bother you, he means no harm and is helpful at least 75% of the time.

there are no insults here, however, some posts may be little harder to understand than others.
(that is seldom done by accident)

pull up a chair and join the mostly family friendly banter.

I don't believe that part was intended to come apart like that. :shok:

You'll need the whole metal bottom piece that mounts into the cowl (has the mounting flange on it). Should be very easy to to score a good one at a junkyard if you strike out elsewhere. Should be the same (or at least similar) on any '89-'11 ('83-'11?) Ranger, Bronco II, or '91-'01 Explorer (probably others too, though I recall F-series antennas have the flange at a slightly different angle).

Yes I went back and picked the antenna in the trash, the part with the pin was part of the antenna base I unscrewed the rusty antenna with a vice grip and a pair of pliers, ordered a new one on ebay.
