After it cooled down a little outside I got one side piece cut .

Also thinking about some 14 or 16" FOA coilovers . Anybody have any input on that ?

Yep , I think it will help .

The stock arms are only 1 1/4 wide ,now they are going to be 1 7/8 . Should be strong enough .

While the coilovers would be a great upgrade, I have had quite a few issues with the FOA's. I have 14" ones on my dune buggy. They have been sent in for leaking reservoirs twice and now they are leaking from the shaft seals and will need to be sent in again before next sand season

Might just wait on the coilovers and use what I have for now besides for shocks . Are BBCS shocks still considered the best for the kind of wheelin we do ?

Not sure what those are... But I run Fox 2.0 reservoirs on my rig and love them. Rebuildable, valvable and adjustable. Good dealers will even ask what type of terrain you see and valve them ahead of time for you!

I love TRS, but check out Here for a pair of Fox shocks or C/O's, they always are selling them there for a good price, I got my fox 16" airshocks for $300 and only had one ride on them, still look new...

OK I'll check it out .

Got the 3/16 cut and primed on one side with weldable primer . Also stitch welded the arms .

I got mine from ebay from DirtCheapShocks or DownSouthMotorsports. They are about 140 each for the reservoir type. The BBCS are 110 without... Both of those sellers will even custom valve before you get them.

The Fox non resi's are about 110 if you are dead set against the extra couple bucks.

Can you post a link ? I searched and they are $153 without and $269 with reservoirs for 14" .
