Another FW 78/79 dana 44 swap

I texted you back. But most of my text today said pending and then didn't send.
But I can't make it tomorrow.

Its cool, just wish I would have known something earlier. Was kinda waiting around last night for some info. Last I heard you all were going to camp.

Wish I could have made it Sat. Looks like a cool place. I most certainly would have broke something.

here are a couple pics i took of yours...

Radius arms were too low and the bushings were working their way out so had to get the plasma out again. Raising the back of the arms and putting the poly bushings back in.

Handles so much better with the poly bushings. Bumper steer is almost gone. And gained about 2" at the radius arm brackets.

No. Actually I never got a sticker from my premium membership renewal.

Gregg, I didn't get an OTOTM sticker either when I won....:dunno:

Went ahead and got started mounting the pivot brackets so I would know how long to make the arms . The arms will be 6" longer than stock . 38.25" from pivot bracket to center of the axle .

This pic shows the stock arm in the stock location .

Had to cut about a 1.375" off the brackets to clear the stock transfer skid .

Where did you buy these radius arm brackets from?

They're the stock 78/79 Bronco/F150 radius arm brackets.

Yeah, just stock 78/79. Got them off the classifieds on this forum for I think $40.

If you look later in the thread I modified them even more by moving the radius arm holes up.
