normally$150.00 but it was missing a hydrolic part, new they are $49.00 so I got a new cherry picker for $90.00 total. Not bad.:icon_thumby:

Let the fun begin!

What vehicle did that come out of? Looks like it has the original alternator. And has a 4 belt crank shaft pulley too.

Have to say I always did love 289's, they can easily do high RPM's and do them safetly.

So you going to do a total rebuild or run her as she is (I assume a rebuild is in order)?

That's a real early '64', oil fill in the timing cover and the generator. Could be a 260 ci.
Dave

Man! that antique will look good all polished up!!!!!!!!

Thanks, It's out of a 64 galaxy. And yes I am going to rebuild it from the ground up. It's going to be sweet when I get done with it. Probably going to put a little cam in it and some roller parts!

Awesome! Do a build thread and show us your progress! Cool to see something other than another 302 (not that there's anything wrong with a 302)

Are you going to convert to a serpentine belt and get rid of all the V-belts?

What ever, save all that front dress. People with the older Mustangs are always looking for stuff that early. As far as being a different build than a 302, not a whole lot of difference externally but always like the revs in mine. Going to need the dual sump with pick-up in the pan and several other little things but looks good. Not sure how many parts I still have laying around for one other than a flat tappet cam.
Dave

Yeah, I think I am going to keep the v belts. I just don't like the idea of 1 belt controlling everything. I'm gonna polish it all up and paint it. Maybe put some chrome on it. It's got a double hump oil pan, but I need the hump in the front if I'm not mistaken. I'm just wondering if my power steering and ac will bolt up.

Swipe the front dress of a 80's Vic with the Serp.
You only have to carry one spare.
I know its good to be able to cut one belt in case the Alt-Steering pump locks up but its a lot easier to deal with bracket wise.

Umm 80's vic's and all have dual serp belt setups.....

Ummmmmm

I have 1 belt on this setup Alt-Power steering pump.
