Bars helped out alot but coolant is starting to ooze out of I guess is the intake manifold? It is not the water pump 'cause coolant is visible above pump. Thermostat housing all good. Intake manifold.... Didn;t somebody else have a leak there too? Maybe more Bars stop leak? Mechanics are so damn expensive. I am going to school next semester to begin my mechanic career. 31 isn't to old is it? I just need good tools and a friend . Aufwiedersehen.

Can't lose anything by trying to re-torquing the intake manifold to spec. And if worse comes to worse redoing a intake manifold gasket is only a few hours work. mostly because you really want to get the surfaces clean before you put another gasket in.

But definitely confirm that is all you need before tearing it down and not solving the problem.

Yeah, If it is indeed leaking from your intake, NEVER hurts to replace a gasket. Give it a try.

reply: coolant lead

make sure all your hose fittings/clamps are good. Just noticed myself the other day coolant on intake manifold and turned out it was the hose clamp.

If the manifold leaks does it only leak "out" , or can it leak into oil? Also does this gasket problem cause air leaks?poor performance?

The valves are holding the coolant till the motor is started and then it drop into each cylinder and it will pull coolant into the engine as it drive and cause problems the spark..

yes they leak into the oil, which is probably happening also. DON'T keep adding stop leak. the gaskets need to be replaced

Sounds like you have an external leak, as quoted above sealants are a "crutch" but good for minor issues. If you have the leak narrowed down, retourqe then go for replacement of gaskets. No coolant in oil is good..

Good luck
