At least I didn't complain about being sick. My sinuses are messed up and I think I'm coming down with something.

fwiw, i had my own fruestrating experience with computers today, i tried to switch from windows 7 to linux mint 11, and in the process of that, my boot cd (linux) didn't get made right, so i managed to delete windows and NOT install linux, so i effectively removed everything from my computer, with the exception of the bios!

thanks Jim.. you'll get there. i know nothing about that deep in servers and junk. my local forum (midsouthjeeps.com/forum) just updated to a newer version of IP board... i know our guy worked nonstop for several days working on it to make it happen. shows dedication. keep it up Jim. favorite web place ever, right here!

Ok. almost there.

Unfortunately, before doing the backup I had moved all the attachments and avatars out of the database and in to a folder. When I went to set up the forum on the new server, I got an image because it couldn't create the directory for the attachments. After trying to figure it out, I realized that the backup is looking for an image folder in a place that I can't put it on this server. So I have to change the setting to where it will be on the new server, and make another backup.

I'm going to bed. I've been awake for 37-1/2 hours.

I chose these servers because they are the same ones pirate was on. Atleast before it was sold. I figure if it can handle that huge forum it can handle this one.
