I would like to install an aftermarket RPM gauge that goes to 8k. my insterment panel has one though that goes to 6k. want I would like to know is will the new one interfere with the stock
Yea I know it call a Tech. but thank you. I ment that the stock one was in the insterment panel. I wont be using it though. I just did not want to have to cut the wire if not needed to, because I don't what to have the wires to beable to corode. I guess I could have just put a twist cap on it. but like I said thank you for the info.
hey now... some people come across a good deal and pick it up... my mustang's tach was WAY friggin off it turned out (so i put an autometer monster tach in)
Figured, I have 3.08s in my '94 Cobra. 3rd gear at 5000rpm is about 100mph. It has a chip the PO put in that eliminated the rev and top speed limits, so I've yet to find its top speed....160MPH and searching.
One of the tells that the battery is getting low on a 97-03 F-150 (maybe others too) is all the gauges peg out for a second right after you start it, of course it wasn't until after I got a new battery it hit me how awesome it would have been to get a pic of the speedo pegged at 100mph and 6k RPM
