Hey everyone! I was wondering if there was any after market winch bumpers that were for other vehicles like jeeps or chevys that would fit on or close to my 1994 4x4 ranger super cab. And no, I don't have a welder yet to make my own bumper.
There are a couple after market ones that can hold winches I think. No bumpers from other trucks will fit and wouldn't be able to work without some fab work.
Why not just get one built for a ranger? Cost about the same and is bolt on.
James from RLC welding and fabication makes really good bumpers for rangers and will do custom designs if desired and at a really good price.

Is he still in business? That thread on pirate looks all but dead...I'm interested since I want a winch but I prefer one with a hitch so I can move it to the back if needed.
He is still making bumpers. I got mine from him a cople of month ago. He can pretty much do anything that u want.
Heres his web site> http://www.rlcweldfab.com/
James is definately still in business. He recently just hired another guy to help keep up with the orders if that tells you anything.
I first spoke with him about 2 months ago and decided to have him make me one for my 94 B4000. IMHO, it was the best looking winch bumper I could find for these year trucks. The price was pretty good as well ($450 shipped). It should be arriving here by FedEx truck tomorrow according to the tracking number.
Here's the pic he sent me to show what they look like on that body style.
It mounts to the factory bumper frame mounts like OEM, but he can mod it anyway you want. He'll just need extra time to get a truck or at least a frame there to mock up the mounts however you want it. I'm trying to get mine on before the snow starts flying here so I just went with the original design like in the pic.
I got the bumper on last weekend but didn't get around to taking any pics of it until after I got the new coils on it today. With the cracked and tweaked bumper frame mounts I had on my truck, I decided to just remake the mounts from scratch. Fabbing my own mounts also allowed me to space the bumper where I wanted it to let the winch clear the new grill without having to cut it up.
Overall I'm very happy with it. The bumper welds are clean and the design is smooth and solid. It's worth giving James a call if you're in the market for a bumper.
