Accumulator In Fuel Inj. System

When the fuel tank is low it pulls air into the low pressure pump from the fuel sloshing in the tank. the accumulator keeps air from getting into the high pressure pump. Just sitting there you should not get any air into the high pressure pump unless the tank is empty. Maybe disconnect the fuel line from the low pressure side of the high pressure pump and see if the low pressure pump is feeding the high pressure pump fuel. It could be the high pressure pump is sucking air. Just a thought? Both pumps share a ground find it and sand it metal to metal and put a fuel pressure guage on it to see if pressure drops when it dies.
