so the trans isn't one of those NAG1 creations by Daimler........

I haven’t looked at it much because it’s my daily driver.. all I know is it’s the bigger 5spd auto that also is used behind the 5.7L and the 6.1L….

My knowledge on the newer Chrysler designs is in need of updating, your trans runs on ATF-4, I take it then that the trans is the 545RFE, you should be able to top up the fluid level in the customary manner, checking the level on the dipstick when the trans is hot
