My plant manager has a 2006 Ranger & has factory grab handles on the A-pillar. Can these be installed onto a 94 Ranger & also whats the best interior paint to use to paint the interior panels?
My panels are all blue & I want to change them to either grey or black as I recently installed the sport 60/40 style /colored grey seats with the black/charcoal/dark grey strips. I also plan to completely remove the blue dash & install a grey dash from the same 92 STX truck that the seats came out of.

The A-pillar trim is different and has holes for the handle. You might be able to swap those in. You'd probably also have to drill holes in the metal A-pillar and make sure its strong enough to pull on.

duplicolor makes a fabric vinyl spray "paint" dye that is supposedly great on interior pieces... give it a try, look up the proper technique on youtube and such.

Once you remove the panels compare the screw holes for the O.E. panel vs the grab handle. You will notice a difference. The late models use a metal bracket that is riveted to the A pillar that the handle screws into. Our older trucks don't have it BUT you can adapt it if you can tack weld or mount the bracket in someway. The panel will fit the curves of the A pillar but you have to be creative to get it to work. I got some from salvage in the garage to do a conversion on mine but it's one of those big round to it jobs. You will need the A pillar covers, the handles, the mounts and all the clips.

Thanks guys. Guess i'll be bone yard shopping soon

Pull the trim pieces and look underneath first. I just installed the drivers grab handle on an 89 BII that didnt come with one. Found where I wanted it to mount, drilled through the trim piece and the pillar, bolted it right up. Very solid. No problems whatsoever. You may be able to do the same thing.
