So, I received my order from GlowShift yesterday, with an OP gauge, coolant temp gauge, and pillar pod.

I already know that my grab handle has to go for this install, which I'm fine with. The question now is how high do I mount it?

If I mount it lower, it's easier to see when looking at the main cluster, but it blocks part or all of the window defrost vent.
If I mount it higher, it's farther from the cluster and my general viewing direction, but won't block the vent.
And of course everything in between.

So, any advice? And also, I know both @Manscout and @Uncle Gump have pillar pods in their trucks, if they would post pics that show where they are on the pillar, that would be phenomenal.

I didn't have a tape in the truck...

But it's about two opossum tails down from the upper handle boss on the a pillar trim.

Or about two fingers below...

And two fingers above the dash...

It keeps enough air moving across the driver glass to keep it clear for me.

I assume that the fingers are Standard; is the possum Metric or Standard?

It speaks Romulan... so however they measure.

It is definitely middle.

I bought a GMRS radio mic zinger and I'm gonna try to install from the top handle bolt. If the mic flops around banging into stuff... I'm probably gonna use it for a go pro mount of some sort.

Oooh... I like that idea. I may have to borrow that. Especially for when I venture up midwest this summer, I do a decent bit of trail riding there (it's not just ALL cornfields).

Mine is 1/4" from the dash. I slid it down as far as possible. I can easily read the bottom gauge. The top one is not as direct. I little bit of the bottom of the gauge is obscured. If it were any higher, It would probably be blocked even more. The fist pic shows how far down I mounted it. The second one shows my line of sight to the gauges when sitting in the driver's seat.
