Hey,
While investigating a small exhaust leak I discovered the Flange on the CAT - that connects to Intermediate Pipe - with spring-bolts, has lost it battle with road salts and rusted. I searched my records and have never replaced the CAT. It appears to be the OEM CAT. It’s a 26YO Truck with 390K on the clock. There are no CEL’s. I have thought about replacing the flange (doing a bandaid repair) but I am thinking a complete new CAT from exhaust manifold back to Intermediate might be a “one and done” repair. I figure if there’s rust They say a CAT is supposed to last the life of the vehicle, but I don’t think they were talking about the Ranger. Anyone one replaced there’s?
Thanks Leaky
