I just became an owner of a v8 swapped Ford Ranger. All parts swapped came from 2001 Ford Mercury Mountaineer or 2002 im not certain. But i do know the transmission and rear end and motor came from a Mountaineer. The truck also has a very large drive shaft. I don't know were the drive shaft came from. It may have come from the mountaineer.
I would like to level the truck out and measured a 4 inch difference from the rear end to the front end. So the front end of the truck is about 4 inch's lower than the rear end. Wondering if a regular ford ranger leveling kit would work or would i have to do a whole suspension lift in the front.
What lift kit would be good for my Ranger. I would think a 4 inch lift for the front end should do it. But i don't know what to buy there is alot of kits out there. I would like to know what kits are good vs what kits are garbage or maybe i have to buy everything separately.
I don't know all the details of the conversion of my truck i just became the owner and did not do the work myself. I just purchased one from someone so i have to ask them questions about it.
Is lifting a v8 ranger the same as lifting a v6 ranger or is the weight a factor?
