Ya, i dont lile them either, but it was the only option i could afford at the time. maybe in the future i will move my spring mount under the frame or get bigger springs. I already running 6in springs with 2in shackles.
Thanks for the pics. That gives me a much better idea of how to set mine up. So how tall is the top of your bed rail. A 6" leaf, 2" shackle, and that 6" block should put the bed at about 6 feet tall
Its a 5in rear block that I have, not sure on the rear height but I can measure tomarrow. Do plan on adding some traction bars down the road. Just want to get the 4 wheel drive done first.
Thanks for the measurement. I'll compare it to my setup tonight. Haven't seen my truck in a few days. Cut myself open while putting drop springs in my brothers car. Waiting to get rid of these stitches so I can get back to working on my truck
Did you whack some geese/ducks or what. Duck season opens in two weeks here. Getting pumped. went deer hunting on closing day a got a pritty good but not too big forked horn. It was the last day of the season so I took it.
No just did some squirrel hunting. Duck hunting opened last weekend for us.but never got into it. Deer hunting opens up the first week of Dec for shotgun for us.
So i have the ruff stuff 5" shackles for the rear of the front spring. I have been experincing a little shifting from side to side when i do a sharp turn one way then turn the other way right away. I know the rear spool is really pushing when im turning, which i dont mind. I also know a trac bar would fix this, but the truck handles really good other wise. Would welding the rear shackles together (like in a H) help the shifting some?
I've herd that welding it does make a difference in stability an you can feel it. Not that I know personally, but that's why I've read. Box I the center and make sure all your bolts are tight and bushings aren't worn
