95 ranger dana 30 swap

I went to ubolts it's easier that way honestly

And the shackles are off of an obs f350 that I had laying around into a 1/4 inch steel bracket I made and welded to the frame
Here is a pic I found that kinda shows it

Nice work.

You must have stepped in sh!t to find king ranch seats for $100. I've been looking for a set for my 350 for a while and they're commonly sold for around $1000 for a set.

Sent from my iPhone.

Thanks I agree I stole them for sure at that price. I looked for ever to do king ranch interior in my obs 350. I ended up doing 4 leather captains chairs from a Yukon

They fit quite nice as well also had monitors in the headrest for the kid

Flipping my springs under the axle tomorrow evening and movin my shackle mounts so they will sit rearward. I'll grab some pics tomorrow while I'm under it

thanks for the pic! what leafs did you have? a link would be sweet. ive been thinking about doing a d30 swap in mine and im having a hard time deciding on what leaf/ shackle to use to get about 6-7" of lift for 35's and still have good flex. i was thinking like 5" yj front leafs? with a 1-2 inch shackle? that would compensate for my 4.0 weighing more in the front than a jeep.

The way it sits now is 2.5 inch lift springs for a jeep yj.
Shackles are the rear shackles off of an obs ford f350 I had laying around
Spring over perches
Front bumper is just at 36 inches and have plenty of room for 35s
Jeeps came with the 4.0 and a 2.5 you can get springs for the Sahara which had the 4,0.

alright cool ive been wondering on that... thanks! and how do you like the leafed d30? everyone i talked to said to do the long arm but it seems too expensive for my blood haha

It's not to bad it literally feels like a jeep. It's not unbearable no worse then riding on mud tires. But for less than 500 prob less then 400 really I couldn't go wrong.
I can't justify it if I did coils I don't do crazy off road and I'll only run 33s maybe 35s if I do a motor swap. And the time I did this in I could have never done that with coils. Every one that does a sas seems to be long and drug out for the most part.

exactly my thoughts although i do plan on 35's. i just want a cheap fast and easy way to get rid of my burnt out d35 ttb. shes pretty trashed haha. im very confident it will hold up 35's fine for my plans on the truck. especially when i see TNT and Double R's builds haha. she spends like 80% of her time on roads haha.

I believe it will be plenty stout for mostly on road use . I have no reason to go over boulders not to mention I live on the flattest ground possible. So some fields a few logging trails will do the dana 30 just fine. At least for me

ya know its good to hear people say things like that instead of "d30's are piles" "youll break it in a week" and shit like that haha some people dont realize that not everyone hits the hardest trails in moab haha but i got another question for ya... whatd you do for brake lines? i was looking at these

http://www.therangerstation.com/tech_library/ReplacementBrakeLine_Front.html

but im concerned on how long they will be as of how long ill need. i think if i bought some for an 8" lift id be fine but they're like $150
