Alright I have a 95 ranger rclb 2.3 5spd 4x4
I just picked up a dana 30 from a 95 wrangler yj as well as the leaf springs. He gave me all me tie rod ends calipers pads rotors and it has 410 gears. All new stuff. Also picked up a set of 5 33x1250z15 duratrac on d windows. 80% tread. I got everything for 500 bucks.

Here is a shot I'm hoping to have the swap done in about a month. I'm gonna start on a Friday hope to have it rolling on Sunday

Here is how it sits now with a trashed ttb under it

My plan is to build everything i can on the table. The shackle is going to go in the back. And I'm going to do a soa on the axle it self I want to stay as close to 4 inches of lift as possible.
As for the rear I am trying to locate a explorer 8.8 with 410s already installed. I'm probably going to use the Chevy lowering shackles to lift the rear depending on how high the front turns out. Any input is appreciated. I did a rsk on my obs ford back in January so I'm going to basically mock it up off that if I can

Worked on my axle tonight I am doing a spring over axle as well as a ubolt eliminator which basically uses grade 8 bolts and sandwiches the leaf between two 1/4 inch steel plates. I have them mocked up and welded in here now an stopped prior to making the top plates. All the perches I am using is 1/4 inch plate and tubing which I used for my perches.

Not to much action around here..
Any way I picked up a set of James duff shocks from a member on here they should be here Wednesday. Then with in the next few weekends I should have the swap completed. I'll be glad to have 4wd again

Why did you go with a CAD axle? I would have looked for a cherokee high pinion axle. The axle you have now is actually a DOWNGRADE from what the rangers had stock (D35 TTB)

I'm gonna swap in a shaft from a tj and this one had 4.10s in it from factory. My ttb needed all new brakes, bjs and has a broken axle shaft.
I don't wheel it like most people do on here and should be plenty strong for what I'm gonna do with it.

Got the axle pretty much wrapped up just need to find a weekend to put it in!

Bolted up the driver sides needs a bushing that's why it's in level
Shackles on the back should make for a smoother ride

Need to get an add a leaf but total swap took about 10-12 hours and that's one trip to the parts store. I'll be happy when it's level
