I recently acquired a "94 Ranger, 2.3, 5 SPD., 3.45 plain Jane no
power anything gutless wonder. I do like the gas mileage but not the
the lack of power. So I am planning on a head, intake and cam swap
this spring. This will include a milled and ported head and some
cat back exhaust work.
I have a couple question concerning my upcoming project.
First I've acquired some parts. First is a Super Coupe supercharger
setup with the intercooler and throttle body, no MAF. That's for later.
Second is a t5 and bell housing. I've searched and found answers
for most of my questions concerning that swap. Now my first question.
Are the "94 and earlier injectors are 14 lbs. and "95 and later are 19 lbs.?
I have a "95 intake ( I think it's a better design ) with maroon top injectors
to swap over this spring and would like to know what they are rated at.
Second question is about a cam. I have cam that measures .238-.240
lobe lift and has an engraved BP 7 on the back side of the rear journal.
The cam is a roller. The only thing close I have found is the Ford marine
cam used by OMC. I have the lift number of .393 but no others. If anybody
has any answers I would appreciate it.
