2.3L ('83-'97) 91 2.3l crank sprocket not seated properly

when i was replacing my crankshaft gasket, i had replaced my crank sprocket since i banged it up pretty harshly when trying to remove it. got an after market one that matched up and chucked it in.

thought i had it pressed in nicely but it was causing the timing belt to drift out of place.

i’m using a harmonic balancer installer tl push it in further but instead im just breaking the bolt that threads in.

i’m begging if anyone knows an easier way of removing or installing this pos

It's been a while but isn't there supposed to be a washer on the back side of the pulley to guide the belt?

That thing should be a slide fit and not require a puller although I've had to resort to all sorts of bad ideas to get them off in the past.
