89 ranger SAS build

so sad.. body still looks decent? wish i was closer- i'd love to have a gutted ranger to build... if i had the dime lol

The outside of the body looks good, but there are only two of the cab mounts that are holding it to the frame. The cab corners are gone. Been fixed with bondo by previous owner and has all fallen out over the winter. The bed sides and tailgate were gone too.
I hate to see it go, but I have another project to work on now to keep me busy for a while. I have to get rid of the 89 to be able to start on the other...

I so wish I was able to take her off your hands but that means I would have to get rid of mine, and my dad giving it to me as a grad gift and growing up with the truck for years, I cant let her go.

But its still a good build thread for those looking at doing a D30 SAS to their gen 2 ranger.

im doing my sas swap soon, i found 2 dana 60 axles at the junk yard rebuilding them now, im using this thread so much info

Glad it will help you. There is tons of info on TRS.

Well, don't remember exactly. Been so long ago. I think they were the 4.5 superflex Deaver coils for the 76-79? F150 from Jeff's Bronco Graveyard.
I wouldn't say they are any cheaper than leaf springs but IMO, a better ride and flex. But, everyone has their own opinion on that.
