89 ranger SAS build

Yeah the shock towers came from Bronco Graveyard. They were the auxiliary shock mounts for the early Bronco. The f250 ones have different mounting holes. But basically the same.

yea guys i came home from stupid lancaster this weekend and went around and found stuff, first i found an older bronco with dana 44 up front and dana 60 in the back and my dad will no allow me to do it at my house so i went around and found someone (my friends friend) he knows his shit about ford....so hes helping me out on this project and im getting one hell of a deal for these axels 300 dollars for both and the junk yard is removing them for me, i may even get them cheaper bc the guy thats helping me out knows the junk yard owners really well and he told me he can get them for 100 dollars but well see ill start my own thread so i dont blow this one up. and also i will be buying those coils from you!

That's a good find. I almost had a set for $1k that was already narrowed and setup for a TJ. 300?, that's a good price. What shape are they in though?

great shape, the back one almost looks like its out of a one of those buggy rock crawlers ill get some pictures sooner of later

hey did you have a body lift as well?

NO. I hate body lifts. I never seen the point of them. Only way I would do it is if I had a v8 swap or something similar that need more clearance.

yea same here, im going to do one further down the line when i go for the 4bt cummins swap

Only pojnt of a body lift would be to clear bigger tires for a truck that wont see offroad time.

body lifts serve a good purpose on/offroad! unfortunately they get overused.

nice for a tummy tuck to... do a body lift then a motor mount and t/case mount lift, keep it up nice and tight to the body, and then do a tummy tuck, nice smooth underneath w/ full skids! --i know that's jeep talk, mostly done on jeeps. but its been done on many rigs. including an explorer that was local to me.. till he moved. it was nice.
