88 Turbo Ranger resto

That's all the affirmation I need. What year mountaineer did yours come from? Congrats on totm too! That the first time someone's one before the thing even drive? Lol. That's another win in your book if not...

Thanx bro! I was told is was a 99 Merc

Here is the wiring under the hood finished and all the vac lines hooked up.

I have relays in corner for fuel pumps and the fan that plug into the harness. The blue wire and fuel block run into the cab and goes to another block under the dash for powering the wide band,12v outlet in dash, ecm and amps.

Mounted a fuel pressure guage under the hood.I have yet to find a good small guage for the rail that reads correct so I just went with a good old Autometer I can trust.

Still havent decided if I want to keep adding more white accents to interior or stay with darker colors..the jury is still out on that.
The console/sub enclosure turned out awesome and fits perfect.Uses a Jeep Cherokee lid and tray so it is easlily replaced should it get broken. Colors match interior alot better than they show up on my camera using the flash. Still might change color of the lid later tho.

And as a bonus I have a second console made that is longer and taller that will be going in my 83 Ranger truggy since its an auto trans.

A couple days late on the update but the truck offically runs! Pretty proud of myself.... after all the wiring I did I only had one issue where I had the ground and switched wires for fuelpump backwards. Still working on the PIMP programing but she does fire right up. Exhaust sounds awesome. Finishing sterio wiring and replacing the front calipers this weekend then she ready for 1st test drive/burnout.

We need videos. :icon_thumby:

Well thanx to Bill and my buddy Dennis the truck now runs like a champ on the PIMP! Fires right up and purs like a {pi$$ed off} kitten.

Replaced the front brake hoses and bled all the brakes last nite, sterio is all wrapped up and sounds amazing!

Still waiting on my dash bezel so no gauges yet but interior will be done later today and I will be going for my first driver EVER in my truck.

Pix and vids to come later

OK here the proof from late last nite. Had to correct some MAP settings in the PIMP cuz it was washing out my plugs from being so rich. Found a bad plug wire while swapping plugs so I had to throw the old set of wires on it just to get it fired up.

I got the shifter bezel all mounted down and the front console and love how they turned out! I welded cap screws to the floor seal plate and used them as studs. I just slid the boot and bezel down over the studs and finished it off with some stainless acorn nuts

Not sure why the flash on my camera makes all the black colors look so different cuz they look amazing in person.?.

Radio all finished and sounds killer. Sony head unit and 8" sub with everything else Fosgate.

Still have a few details to take care of yet. Obviously no gauges installed yet,no sill plates, need new visors still, need tilt and have a couple rattles to track down.

But I did get to drive it for the first time today and put about 40 miles on it! Drives smooth and straight, exhaust is nice and quiet, very comfy interior, sound system rocks and even at less than half throttle it wants to roll out!

good job, I'm not sure, but did you type what the engine came out of, I tried looking back, but the only thing I found was you using a part off a Merkur.

The motor I just put together with parts I had around. Its a 93 Mustang block and crank,88 TurboCoupe pistons/rods, dont know what the head came off of but its ported and has aftermarket valves with a custom Schnieder roller cam. Intakes, header and 3" exhaust elbow are all from 40Bob.

Drove it to lunch today then out to the back yard for some dirty shots.. Looks awesome out in the sun!

Me and my buddy Bill have been playin with the tune creepin up on the boost and so far Im up to 14psi and all I can say is WOW....its a beast. Not goin any higher till I step up from the stock 35lb injectors though. Its plenty fast as is.
I did get after it hard one time from an intersection and we were both shocked. Dropped the clutch at about 2500 and it lept forward without even a sound from the tires and was into boost instantly, shifted 1st,2nd and 3rd at 5000 and we was MOVING! Cant believe how it dead hooked with no bog or spin and was just pulling.

Yep this is cool man, what tires are you running on the back? Any cal-trac setup?

I was also shocked to see that I was beating my friend's lightly modded v8 stang on a highway pull on 4th with mine at only 12 lbs.

Those little things are fast, and hope you're ready to get those ''WTF'' faces, cuz it will happen almost everytime you will drive the truck. You've did an amazing job on the truck overall.

Im running MT 235/60-15 drag radials and 99 Mountaineer anti-wrap bars. All the info and pix are in this thread.

Took it to a big local car show this past monday and just kinda hung back from the truck to watch peoples reactions. Needless to say "wtf" was the most popular thing I heard. lol
