so i have ordered the four link but it is taking some time to get to my house. so i decided to start on the motor swap. i pulled the 2.2 mazda motor and got the 2.4 (22r) up to the house to get ready for the set up.

so it was such a close fit the motor mounts were only off by about one inch i will have to mod them to fit in the near future.

but over all i think the motor looks great in the mazda but it does sit a little low in the engine bay

its gonna sit low cause u have a 3" body lift too. but who cares its a lower centre of gravity. (well the motors lower i know the body lift makes his centre of gravity higher)

very true but it just looks too low in the bay i thought i did some thing wrong but it was too dark to see everything i checked it out to day and it is all good

looking good :icon_thumby:. I've always liked those body style of mazda trucks. How much lift do you think that truck has now? Quite a bit I must say.

ya kris is right it is about 6 inch suspension and 3 body but i might have to go bigger, those are 35 under the truck now but they are only 33s now they have a lot of road running on them and i cant fully flex with those tires on so i think i will have to put the over loads back in the rear and block it as well but u never know i might leave it at this height i just bought a house so the truck is kinda not as important as it was a month ago but i still want to keep working on it

id just throw the blocks in it the over loads dont lift it any. did you buy just a chevy front or did you get a rear too? and scince u may be going full width now it doesnt need to be as tall

Yaaaa, the solid axle will be so much better looking and stronger too.

Tourch = FTW

really like how the 22R motor fits in the engine bay. everything seems to be in easy reach. how much hp and torque will you get from it? looks like you used the engine, tranny and transfer case from the toy, right? any additional cross-member work needed to mount it all up? great job!!

it did fit in the quite nice but there was some problems the stock mazda motor mounts had to moved ahead about 1 1/16 and the tranz mount will have to me modified but is sits right on the stock mazda mount. i just want to make it look nicer. and you are right everything i pretty easy to get to on the motor. but if u notice my ass hole brother stole the fuel pump off the motor.( after it was in my truck )

( he has a 1982 toyota sr5 6 inch suspension 4 inch body but the dumb **** only has 31 ones on it!!!) when he was born god must of stock cotton candy in his head instead of a brain. :icon_rofl:
