87 mazda sas swap

wow guys do an sas for the astonishing good looks :icon_confused:

function>form

not form>function

either way you look it that dropped front cross member kinda scared me

cross member are u talking about the bar on the top of that axle ? if so dont worry i still have to weld in all the supports on to that thing it actually get half inch plate with retaining gussets to stop if from twisting

he didnt remove any cross members? i was there plus he's added 2. u do need to lower the truck about 4" though and go fullwidth when u can

I was referring to the front cross member that anchored the leaf springs on the front of the leaf sprung truck..the one dropped about 8 inches and supported with a bunch of 90*s looked really suspect

ah ya that was on the old truck and was going to be supported more by the front bumper but that whole truck is gone now he switched over to coils up front. but cause he just bought a house and has to move evrything he just threw it together enough to roll. theres ALOT that needs to be redone and touched up

moving get ready to roll !!!

so i finally got the keys to my new house and with the new house comes the work shop so no more working int he drive way with this truck or any of my trucks for that matter!!! i have gotten the 4x4 mazda ready to roll with the rear end done and the front end almost all done, and my mini mazda is ready too. yes they will be trailer but it is better than nothing!

so it has been a long time sense a update. but with the new house time has been really hard to work on the truck so i got to play with it the other day. i have the drive shafts in it now and i twisted the front axle to point at the t case so the front axle will not have such a bad angle.

i got playing with the suspension and seeing how much twist i have in it

u say u put an update on here yet i see no progress lol come on show the videos of driving and such

so it has been a while since i have done a update. between a house girl friends that come and go, too much work, and chores around the house, i have finally finished the mazda !!! i know what your all saying that some thing like this is never finished but i have gotten it to the point were it is drive able. i have done 2 small 10 km test runs of mostly field and small ruts and water to find problems. witch range from power steering lines braking, fuel filters getting clogged, and a fuel pump giving out. not it is ready for mud water and hills to see what else is going to brake with it .

so i load i video of me playing in some deep water, deeper that what i thought it was going to be , the mazda almost stalled but what was happing was my fan was spraying the water all over my engine bay and sucking the water into my carb, so what i relized to day was the fan has to go and get a electric one , my intake has to be sealed and i need to lock the rear end i hope you enjoy the video !!!

oh and you need to get the ledge video on here. and the hill climbs

Your braver then I am to go into stuff like that without a winch, but now its safe to say you can go through about anything, now to see if it can go over about anything.
