6x9's fit in the 6x8's spot in the rear of a 1998 ranger?

Just bought my ranger a month ago

And i read somewhere on here that 6x9's will fit in the rear
through the stock grill holes?

Is this true?....
 
You cAn mod the sheat metal to fit it. And it will fit under the plastic body panel.
