Certainly can't hurt to do that if you're worried about it moving around if you, say, bang it into a rock (you'd have to bang it pretty hard though)...Any thoughts on small welds on the new cross members on the BDS 6 inch lift. Particularly where the cross members attach to the frame with the new bolts.
What I always do is sand the paint/powdercoat off around the bolt holes. This also helps things stay in place better. These areas can be repainted/undercoated after assembly if you're worried about rust.
