i have a 2002 ranger edge 4.0 sohc with a 5 spd and it just dosent seem to have the power it should i will be doing a full tune up plugs wires and k&n filter but im wondering about some other things i should look into like cold air intake and chip tuner. im not looking to go racing but the truck does get used for some towing and hauling and a little extra power never hurts

CAI systems are not worth the money you spend on them. Ford is good at getting true cold air setups from the factory that are better than anything K&N makes.

Do your plugs and wires, clean the MAF, replace your filters, and see where that gets you before spending tons of money.

I am very happy with the Bama tuner for my Ranger. I don't think Bama sells these anymore but there are other tuner systems out there that can re-flash the computer to provide a little more power with 87 to 93 octane programs.

While they are not cheap, I think they are the best bag for the buck and are very easy to install.

I agree a CAI will give you very little in performance but they look cool.
