4.0 SOHC coolant loss

If you've still got the original plastic T-stat housing, it will leak. It may not be the problem now, but it will be eventually.
It is going to be somebody elses problem pretty soon. It is a beautiful 2011 Sport 4wd. Want to buy it?

I'll match that. Plus if you deliver it, I'll give you a bigger pile of dog hair and some snow in a styrofoam cooler to take home.

I'd like to see it... got any pictures?

How many miles... and how much do you want?

Could be the return heater hose to the pump, or the pump itself

That is true. That short hose on the underside of the thermostat housing on mine, was found to be bad and possibly leaking when I pulled the thermostat housing. And also the heater hose that attaches to the top of the thermostat housing was bad on mine. When I replaced the thermostat housing, I replaced all the hoses that attach to it except the top radiator hose as it appeared to be new. Before messing with the head, you should just go ahead and replace the thermostat housing and all the hoses. You never know, it might stop the leak. Then you wouldn't have to sell it for all this witches brew stuff these knuckleheads (LOL) are offering up.

If, by the right head, you mean the passenger side head, that is where that heater hose is located. Mine was leaking along with the housing. It looked like a head leak, but replacing the hose and using worm gear clamps instead of those cheap ass spring things, fixed the leak.

@chiefk what part of Florida are you from? If your nearby, I'd be happy to come look at it.

I guess he was kidding about selling it. Hasn't been back since he posted that. Must be out driving it to make sure the stop leak seals.

I'm still highly suspect of plastic ThermoStat Housing;
may just leak when engine is at higher RPMs & higher coolant system pressures\temps.
If there's even a small "wet spot" anywhere around the TStatHousing, take that plastic junk out, shoot it with a 12gauge,
then install an Aluminum ThermoStat Housing & get rid of this worry forever.
I have same motor in 05 Mustang. Tried to remove housing and of course the bolts sheared off. Anyone have this issue and how hard were they to get out?

Where do you find an aluminum replacement?

Some patience+persistance, soak with penetrating oil for an hour or two, & a set of broken bolt removal bits like this
Redrill & rethread holes for slightly bigger bolts if necessary, then use antisieze.

Where do you find an aluminum replacement?
A listing is on my wiki page linked below of vendors at that time.
RockAuto, SimmonsAutoSports, ZabTek, Amazon, Amazon, Ebay...
or your friend google "year make model aluminum thermostat housing"
Your local StealerShip\PartsHouse will likely only stock the Ford\AfterMarket plastic junk,
so ability\patience to wait for delivery is required.
