TRS Event 2026 Fall Colors Campout

I'm not much for either end of the camera, mostly taking pictures for my own reference when working on something. Case in point I was primarily taking picture of the sign below to know where and what each location was, but still turned out handy here.

I forget the name they gave it. So, I'm calling it Log town. It was a precursor to the more modern Mining Camp town.

The called it a Mountain Homestead.

I have a feeling that if we'd taken a few more of those winding sideroads, we might have found some matching structures still in use.

My contributions to the archives for this trips "trail side" repair

Here we have Curious Hound under the hood, Snoranger under the dash, and SenorNoob in the bed looking for stuff to make a fix. Expert supervision making sure that they did it right, or maybe just hoping that it got fixed well enough to get home.

Here we have an excellent example of using the wrong tool the right way (or something like that). Using a 1/4 drive milwalkee ratchet as a stand-in for a drill to make plates to support the broken firewall.

Great job on the photos @sgtsandman

You took so many photos of the Exhibition Coal Mine that I feel like I was there even though I couldn't go.

Looks like @Snoranger gets the Bobby Walter Creative Trail / Trip Repair Award.

@Curious Hound where's the picture you took at the Mexican restaurant?

It's right here in my phone.

Campfire time.

Excuse me! Which way to the ladys room?

Those who went to the coal mine.
