My heating/cooling ducts above the radio don't have any ability to be turned on/off - they can only be moved up/down and side to side.

So my dash bezel currently looks like this (not my bezel, just an interet photo)

I've owned previous 96-2010 rangers where the centre duct louvres had a adjustment wheel to turn them off and adjust all the way to fully open like this:

Is there an updated bezel for my 2010 that I can buy that has the flow adjustable louvres like in the above pic? Or maybe a duct/louvre setup from an explorer or other ford that will fit without any hacking of the bezel? I would have assumed a higher-end 'XLT' or 'FX4' model would have had adjustable flow ducts/louvres

Check eBay for used bezels. Also, keep in mind that turning the right heat/airflow selector under that bezel to off stops flow through those vents.

The XLT in the US market doesn't have it. We didn't get the FX4 for 2010 and 2011. So, I have no idea on those. I don't think the Sport model had them either.

That being said, not much changed with the interior since 1998. So an older model bezel will probably snap right in.

Also, you can remove the duct assembly from the bezel itself, so if the bezel itself is not a direct match for your newer bezel, you can swap just the vent assembly from another to your bezel. At least that is the case with my 97. took that out to fix a broken part and removed the vents to make it easier to work with.

My 2011 XLT doesn't have the extra turnwheels. Honestly haven't missed them because, as described, I can turn off the airflow at the control switch.
