I am planning on upgrading my exhaust to make my 4.0 v6 4x4 extended cab ranger more impressive. There is no such thing as too loud for this build so long as it is crisp and avoids too much drone in the cab.

My main goal is to make my pickup more impressive while driving down the road and to allow greater overall performance out of the exhaust.

Right now I am interested in the Flowmaster 40, magnaflow, and MBRP. I am VERY open to other recommendations and experiences with these exhausts.

Son, ain't nobody impressed with a ranger except for the old farts on this forum and the kind of girls that you probably don't want to date.

☝🏻☝🏻☝🏻 he's right you know.

You do you though, of course.

A CRISP sound is gonna require headers. When you mix stock manifolds and additional volume the outcome is generally always just kind of a garbled mess that sounds like an old tractor. More performance is also header territory.

A simple muffler change will make an imperceptible difference in power.
