2.8 social group...

That's sweet you fixed your truck for free. When I hwas trying to get my truck to fire after the dspark conversion I went through 2 dspark boxes, good thing they come with lifetime warrenties :D.

Hey guys, how do i hook back up my PVC valve now that i have a non feedback carb?

Well there should be a port on the back of th carb for it, if not thres a spot that cn be drilled out carfully to accpt one. All you hav to do is have it running to a vaccum source.

Can it be running off of one on the vacuum tree?

In therory yes it can since that all its hooked to on a carb though I think on a carb the vaccum pull is restricted a bit but could still possibly be done.

Ok because I don't feel comfortable drilling any holes on my carb and there is no longer a dedicated port on the back of the carb because it is a nonfeedback carb.

So anyone else, can i hook the PCV valve to he vacuum tree?

Not doubting you danger, just like multiple opinions.

So what are you guys getting fuel mileage wise out of your 2.8?

Well mine doesnt get to temp in the winter but right now, 8-10 mpg on a good day I wanna say. In warmer weather it may do better but have only had the setup since early fall time. I also never got mine truly fine tuned either.

That's what i am getting . I haven't really fine tuned mine either. I am planning on swapping a TK4 i have, manual hubs and put on some smaller tires. Hopefully that will help some.

I got your PM, I think it would work ok as long as the smaller fittings/hose don't restrict flow.

What kind of carb are you running? Most should have provisions for it, even the '71 2100 I had on for awhile was set up for a PCV valve.

Here is what is going on (you have the closed type)

Thanks for the reply. I am running a Motorcraft 2100 off of a 64-65 mustang. I know on the stock carb there is a large port on the back for the PCV valve to connect to but on mine i dont seem to have one.
