Hi, welcome to TRS.
I can't help on the duratech but you should give some details of you race car and the type of racing you do.
I assume you have taken out as much weight as you can....
Your wheels and tires are as light as possible and the smallest overall diameter feasible....
Any friction in the drivetrain and braking system is as small as possible....
And finally, but not least...
We really, really like pics!
the standard factory ECOBoost 2.3 puts out 270 hp and 310 ftlbs. that should give you an idea of what's possible.
both cams are variable, the computer works wonders on these engines. they have great torque down low.
mine is not an ecoboost it is older than that. I was just wondering if it is worth the money to go through it and build it bigger or find another engine and build it. would like to have a Cosworth if I could afford it.
Nice! I got to drive a Formula Ford back in the '70s at the Russell School of motor racing at Snetterton Race Track in England--have no idea which Ford 4 cylinder was used, but it was a hoot to drive.
