Crossmember bushings are destroyed. Do I need a new crossmember, or are there replacement bushings available? 1997 Ranger, 2.3 engine, manual transmission.

I remember seeing someone used a bushing for (I think) leaf springs to replace it.

Old thread new information
You can replace those bushings with a gm product RB172 right from ebay. It's a rear leaf spring bushing out of a 01 blazer. 15 bucks apiece fits perfectly. A sec gen crossmember costs upwards of $250 now adays you can get a raised member raw for about $70 or powder coated for $110. But youll wait weeks if not months to receive it. Good luck with all your first gen shenanigans.

There are also solid crossmembers out there. Be warned there are several variants that look identical at a glance but will mess up driveline angles.
