I'm new to posting on threads and not really sure how to do this but I am running into some hiccups on a swap. I have just swapped a junkyard 4.0 into my junkyard beater ranger that I use to go trail riding with my jeep buddies ( It does way better than the jeeps, even the new JL's ) but after about 2 weekends of trail rides with some pretty aggressive crawling the motor is knocking. I do not want to do another 4.0 swap and I have already done a 302 swap on a ranger in the past but it was an auto with a manual valve body and I would prefer to keep this ranger stick. Are there any ford 5 speed trannys that will bolt up close enough top where the cutting is minimal? For reference this truck is a beater toy so I am not worried about cutting, I would just like to see if there is an easier way.
