1994 Ford ranger 2.3 no start

1994 Ford ranger 2.3 5 speed changed fuel filter, now won't crank. The previous owner messed the flywheel up with the starter, so I been pull starting it or push starting it. It's got the right pressure.

Check for spark. It will be a little difficult to troubleshoot this while pulling it with another vehicle. Might be the time to fix some other things too.

Needs more info. I assume you're mixing up "crank" and "start" since pull-starting it means you weren't cranking already, but if cranking behaviour has changed, that's relevant.
