- My credo
- In theory, theory and practice are the same. In practice, they are different.
I have traditionally been carrying that box near the front of the bed. It contains tools, recovery gear, spare parts, ax, shovel, etc. I can climb into the bed pretty easy from the rock sliders and wheels even when my knees are acting up.I have really bad knees, so I would have mounted a box like that on top of the passenger tire kick. Access over the side...
And it would offset the lean from my overweight ass....
The box is positioned so that my easy-up canopy has enough room between the toolbox and the tailgate with just over an inch to spare. I believe my coleman stove(s) will fit nicely over a wheel arch. I still have to figure out exactly placement of my kitchen box and ice chests for camping.
Maybe I'll play with that for a few minutes before I get started again in the morning. Just to help visualize it in my head.
