1991 Ranger Long Travel Woods / Prerunner Build

Looks like the same as I did on the driver side....removed some of the hump by the PS box.

Well. I did notch the frame... But have since welded the peice I cut out back in after I redid my engine cage. Now my shocks tilt backwards more which made that unnessasary....

It was a chore getting the shock positioning perfect to clear everthing with stock width beams...

Here is a whole bunch of out of time order pictures. So please let me know what you guys think.

Thanks I have been working really hard trying to get this thing done lately and Im trying to tie all the little stuff together at this point befor I tear it down for paint.

I liked the bicycle wheel for your "roll bender". Is that what you used for arcing your springs?

Hell Yeah! Chevy 64" leafs with some stock ranger and jeep cherokee leafs mixed in all rearched to 15" with the modified HF Kinker.

Worked like a champ, did a pack for my cousins Cherokee with it too because the POS ass-a-leaf they give you made the jeep ride like crap.

Looks like it's coming together real nicely. :icon_thumby:

I like the bend on the link from the pitman arm to keep the force from the opposite link inline with it's axis so it doesn't twist back & forth.

I'll be stealing that idea. :icon_thumby:

You guys can steel all the ideas you want!

4x4junkie, it took alot of messing with to get a setup that works properly. I pretty much completly eliminated bump steer with close to 17" travel on stock width beams. It was worth it IMO...

I have been beefing up some small stuff lately.

Is the aluminum super expensive?

Not that super expensive, but if you're on a budget, go with the steel.

You should gusset that hitch up a little bit with some plate. Piece top and bottom will do. Keep it from bending from lateral forces (non-straight pulls).
