1986 Turbodiesel Ranger

yeah, its' all original. i bought it from the original owner -- a little old lady who drove the sh*t out of it (but loved it and treated it well). I am going to do a slow update/refurb on most of it.

i will deff follow it if you post it

wow, i just noticed that you have a 3rd gen. bed on your ranger.

Wow. Good eye, although unmistakable. I skipped it, too. I guess the ugly (IMO) stripe made me roll my eyes compltely off of the screen...

Back to the OP...that's a nice ranger. Diesels are great, and most Americans don't realize that diesels are compression-based and more fuel economic than gassers. It really irritates me how people think all diesels are bad. Particulate matter and sulfur produced are for a different topic though.

How many miles did you say it had? Aside from typical seat wear after a couple decades, the door panels + dash and body are in good condition.

Got any funny stories when you tell people your Ranger has a diesel in it? :icon_rofl:

Lots of guys wonder why you are filling at the Diesel pumps, until they ask if it's a diesel. Most people wait around to hear it run.

nice. Ive got an 87 turbo diesel. The engines last forever. My dad had the truck and now i do and its got 500,000 miles. I'll try and get some pics of mine today.

Nice little diesel you got there. I have been looking to find one locally, but as always they are really hard to find.

cold air and exhaust really helps to beef up the 2.9

The 2.9 comes stock with a "cold air" setup and exhaust does about as much good as platinum plugs and throttle body spacers do. How did this turn into a discussion about 2.9's anyway?
