1985 stock 4x4 Ranger. What is it worth?

Newbee here so take it easy on me.

I own a stock 4x4, auto, with the long bed (7ft?) It has the 2.8 v-6 with about 90k on it. The motor has issues though, It runs but uses oil and it will leave you stranded if you try to restart it after it's hot. Sometimes it will start, but most times not. It also will start to smoke about 60mph, I believe most of these issues is a known problem with this motor.

The body is solid, but would need a paint job. I have not looked under it for about a year but I was really suprised how little rust there was.


Can someone give me an Idea how much Its worth?

I gave $200 for mine,it was a 5-speed.He ran it out of gas,left it that way for a couple of months and and the carb froze up..
Had 85 k on it I belive.

Mines worth over $1500 and i was offered $4500.00 for the cash for clunkers so my truck is worth $4500 dolars wow!

Probably about $1000 if it ran good. Probably a couple hundred for a solid truck than needs an engine...

Yeah cash for clunkers is over but the value will increase over time since it's going to be even clunkier. I'm just waiting until they pay me 20,000.00 to get rid of my truck. I can wait.
