Finally circled back to getting the snaps put on. Pulled it apart, and chunked out the strips so the button snaps wouldn't interfere with the camper canvas clips.

That view tho...

And now the snaps are on all the way around the camper.

Now I just need to pop it up and see how I did keeping the trackways in place for the clips and get it outfitted for a big camping trip this weekend.

There IS a big campout this weekend!!! Are you coming?

If you zoom in far enough in that picture of the Ranger, you can just barely see the tips of the Rockies about 2,000 miles away. There is absolutely nothing blocking the view between these 2 points.

I would but I just pulled the cylinder heads off the Ranger...

Thats harder to see because it doesn't stick up very high.

So nice to not have to dink with ratchet straps anymore.

Landed at our campsite

Thats better

The thing in the middle of the picnic table is a bobcat, I saw him run across the campground 3 times. I got off work at 11 so when I was setting up there Friday at 1 it was pretty quiet yet.

Campfire pizza!

Bacon the way bacon was meant to be cooked for breakfast along with totally from scratch pancakes that I got distracted eating and forgot to take pics of

They had a chilli contest, my wfie's seemed to go over good but she didn't win anything

Then it was off to try canoeing, we decided since we were camping the back 40 of the campground and nowhere near water we would try to launch from somewhere else. So we picked the marina on the other end of the lake.

Hello fellow boat movers...

Ok, that was a bit of a joke.

As we were setting up there was a guy hauling his boat out, he said it was pretty windy and there were whitecaps around the corner on the main lake. With only really one effective paddler we immediately wrote that off. We thought we would just stay more in the sheltered area of the lake. We got out there and the wind was a bear, it just kept trying to turn us, so we turned around and messed around closer to the shore around the marina and then gave it up for the weekend.

Swung over and checked out the whitecaps. No they were not huge but not something I wanted to take on with a canoe with a 7yo. It really isn't much fun when you spend most of your effort keeping the thing pointed where you want to go let alone actually trying to go there.

Run back to camp

And then the dang racoons moved in...

Then they had a trick or treat thing for Halloween which is pretty cool. Everybody has their campsites decorated.

Had "hobos" for supper, one of the best batches I have had yet
